Payments

Payments are processed using Stripe.

When you proceed to checkout, Stripe may collect information such as your name, email address, payment details, billing information and delivery address.

Nelloica does not receive or store your full payment card number. Payment card information is processed securely by Stripe in accordance with Stripe's own privacy and security practices.

Delivery and fulfilment

Where you order a physical Nelloica product, we use the information needed to prepare and deliver your order.

This may include sharing your name, delivery address and other necessary delivery information with postal or delivery service providers.

We only share the information reasonably necessary for the delivery or fulfilment of your order.

Browser storage

Nelloica uses browser storage for companion access and played-question history. Purchases take place directly through Stripe. The companion can remember access and played questions when you return on the same browser; storage does not contain payment card details. Use “Remove from this device” in the companion or clear your browser storage to remove this information.

Nelloica Play

Nelloica Play tools such as dice, spinner and timer are designed to perform their main functions locally on your device where practical.

These tools do not require a Nelloica account.

Game-box bonus access

Some Nelloica games include an access code for the 1,000+ Ways to Know Each Other digital companion.

After successful access, your browser may store information locally so the companion can remain unlocked on that device and, where supported, continue to work offline.

This locally stored information is used for access and functionality rather than payment processing.

Cookies and analytics

Nelloica currently aims to keep tracking to a minimum.

Essential browser technologies may be used where necessary for the website to function, remember companion access or provide requested features.

If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies are introduced in future, this notice and any required cookie controls will be updated before those technologies are used.

Who we may share information with

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited personal information with trusted service providers where necessary to operate Nelloica, including:

• payment processors such as Stripe
• Royal Mail for delivery and fulfilment
• Hostinger for website hosting and technical services
• professional advisers where reasonably necessary
• government, regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where we are legally required to do so

International processing

Some service providers used by Nelloica may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used in accordance with applicable data protection law.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Order and transaction information may need to be retained for longer where required for accounting, tax, legal, fraud-prevention or regulatory purposes.

Keeping your information secure

Payment information is handled by specialist payment providers rather than being stored directly by Nelloica.

Children's privacy

Nelloica creates products that families and children may enjoy, but our website is not intended to collect personal information directly from young children.

Purchases and customer-service enquiries should be made by an adult. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us unexpectedly, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove it.
